While Developing any Software Application, we want that it should run faster so that it reduces execution time and increase the performance rate. Multiprocessing and Multi-threading is one of the most popular methods to increase the performance of any application.
So what are Multi-threading and Multiprocessing?

Multi-threading 


Multi-threading is a type of execution model that allows multiple threads to exist within the context of a process such that they execute independently but share their process resources. A thread maintains a list of information relevant to its execution including the priority schedule, exception handlers, a set of CPU registers, and stack state in the address space of its hosting process.
Multi-threading is also known as threading. 

Multi-processing


Multi-processing refers to the ability of a system to support more than one processor at the same time. Applications in a multi-processing the system is broken to smaller routines that run independently. The operating system allocates these threads to the processors improving performance of the system.







Thread is the smallest processing unit of CPU.
The threading module uses threads, the multiprocessing module uses processes. The difference is that threads run in the same memory space, while processes have separate memory.

So, The main purpose of this blog is to make aware people that multi-threading and multiprocessing methodology is becoming popular in ML, since the machine learning and deep learning models are so huge  that it may  not be  able to perform well on single-core,so we have to use this technique to increase the performance and efficiency of models.
